Bedrock players cannot mine obsidian just like Java players.
Bedrock players appear to have their block broken earlier, making them think they cannot mine obsidian.
If they continue mining the block even after the block has broken, then they can mine it.
Just mine Obsidian on Bedrock and you will see that it breaks faster than on Java, making many people think that they cannot mine it.
The mining time should be the same for both Java and Bedrock.
