when you edit an existing accession, the binomial field gets preloaded with the currently associated species.
unfortunately, I'm not removing the zero-witdth-space, which I'm using to influence lexicographic order.
what happens is that if you fix the species epithet, ghini will not recognize what you're typing, until you do manually remove the ZWS.
