I got it to work by changing the init.py description to COMMUNITY level of support rather than TESTING. This issue really needs to be addressed. Blender 3.5 no longer ships with a TESTING option for addons.
This works for 3.6 as well. Import and export seem to work just fine - used it to modify a 3d printing project.
@Ghostkeeper this is a trivial change, but do you need a PR?
If you make a PR I'll merge it fairly quickly.
I plan on making a new release some day (tm) with the latest fixes. Hope I can find some time for it in a weekend soon.
Looks like this was fixed back in b6e2f658d72c5626ec9c41f636e3f005fbee7039 - nothing specific to do here, a new release will carry this along.
Heh, goes to show how far disconnected from this project I've been. My life has changed a bit.
Thanks for verifying the fix! We'd best close this one then.
The addon installs as a "testing" addon but this option is no longer available with Blender 3.5. Manually installing the addon into the Blender addon folder does not work. The addon cannot be enabled in the Blender program as it does not appear on the list.
