Ethernet: cannot connect to 1Gbit/s, had to add intermediate 10/100Mbit/s switch #41

Ultimate-II+L Firmware 3.11 with Assemblt64 integration.

As is often the case with embedded devices, I had to use the old 10/100 Mbit/s switch trick.

Of course, it would be nice if I could remove that piece of hardware and connect directly to my 2400. https://en.avm.de/products/mesh-wi-fi/fritzrepeater-2400/

Cheers, Enver

Sounds like your switch/router does not support autosensing? Could it be that you may need to enable that?

The 2400 isn't really a router and the fault was with the old software version 3.11 of the Ultimate-II+L. IIRC the problem is gone with the latest software, can double-check on Monday.

Good point though, maybe it's worth looking into to what exactly is causing this. Timing when sensing/negotiating? In any case, the mentioned trick of the trade has saved me at least three times in my professional life now.
