Create new band #479

While setting up a new account, I did not see the option to create a new band.

I later found the link to request new bands. Perhaps that same link can be found at the bottom of the list of bands.

Thanks for raising this. Historically, there was no "create a band" option due to fears that people would just create accounts and spam the system with a million bands. Maybe once someone is a band admin they should be able to make other bands? Or if they were invited to join a band they should be authorized?

Hi Aaron,Thanks for your reply.I understand the reasoning. Don't open the floodgates to the public.  My suggestion on github was mearly to make the "request group" button earlier to find.

Maybe there should be a "create band" option that then superusers have to confirm? And maybe limit creation to one band awaiting confirmation at a time per user or something to prevent abuse?
