Right now I just get infinite spinning on every image added. You can try the Flatpak artifact here, and manually adding home folder access in System Settings → Applications → Permissions on OS 6 or with Flatseal on another OS: https://github.com/elementary/appcenter-reviews/suites/3555249074/artifacts/85270037
My guess is you need to include the libraries in the same way they're included in Flathub: https://github.com/flathub/com.github.gijsgoudzwaard.image-optimizer/blob/master/com.github.gijsgoudzwaard.image-optimizer.json
