(3) Geef de patiënt voorlichting volgens WGBO en vraag de patient om toestemming. Provide the patient with information according to WGBO and ask the cliënt for permission.
(4) Zorg voor water van 37 graden Provide water at 37 degrees.
(5) Vraag de client om een half zittende houding aan te nemen. Ask client to take a sitting or semi-sitting position
(-) Controleert met de otoscoop beide oren en kijkt hoe de gehoorgang loopt en waar de prop zit. Checks both ears with the otoscope and sees how the ear canal runs and where the prop is
(6) Plaats de oortechter op de otoschoop. Place the ear stud on the otoscoop

(8) Verwijder de oortrechter van de otoschoop en gooi deze weg. Remove the ear funnel from the otoscoop and discard it
(9) Plaats een nieuwe oortrechter op de otoscoop. Place the new ear stud on the otoscoop
(10) Controleer het andere oor en kijk hoe de gehoorgang loopt en waar de prop zit. Check the other ear and see how the ear canal runs and where the plug is
(11) Verwijder de oortrechter van de otoscoop en gooi deze weg. Remove the ear funnel from the otoscoop and discard it
(12) Hang de handdoek over de schouder van de cliënt. Hang the towel over the client’s shoulder
(13) Vraag de cliënt om het bakje onder het oor vast te houden. Ask the cliënt to hold the container under the ear
(14) Vul de spuit met water. Fill the syringe with the 37 degrees water
(15) Trek de gehoorgang recht. Straighten the ear canal
(16) Breng de oorspuit tot maximaal 1cm in de gehoorgang. Insert the ear syringe up to 1cm into the ear canal
(17) Richt de straal op de achterwand van de gehoorgang. Aim the beam at the back wall of the ear canal
(18) Spuit de oorspuit leeg. Empty the earsyringe
(19) Plaats een nieuwe oortrechter op de otoscoop. Place the new ear stud on the otoscoop
(20) Controleer met de otoscoop of de prop weg is. Check with the otoscoop if the plug/lump is removed.
(21) Droog de gehoorgang zo ver mogelijk met een opgerold gaasje of depper. Dry the ear canal as far as possible with a rolled-up gauze or swab
(22) Ruim de materialen op door met lege handen op het werkveld te klikken. Clean up workfield
(23) Pas handhygiëne toe. Apply handhygiene.
