Placing back objects on workfield #1968

I was wondering if it would be possible to place the objects from your hand back on the workfield, like you do in real life. Instead of lowering your arm below camera and spawn object on the table. Now you will really place back the object on the workfield "yourself".

What do you guys think of this idea? Will it be alot of work? Is it too much?

We had this at the beginning of the project for some time. It takes a lot of work, to maintain. Almost for every object the specific pickup and drop animation has to be created for left and right hand. Sometimes placements of objects on table can cause hand moving through other objects or even table. As I said, it is a lot of extra work, that does not effect the gameplay

We won't be doing this then in the foreseeable future.
