Validating TomOpt muon multiple Coulomb scattering model requires GEANT4 reference datasets, both for scattering angle and displacement distributions.
GEANT4 scattering angle distributions match Particle Data Group predictions (in terms of distribution's shape and amplitude) BUT displacement distributions do not. Amplitude is approx. 3 times smaller than PDG predictions and distribution's shape isn't Gaussian.
Cross-check from an other GEANT4 user would be appreciated. See attached presentation for more details.
