What is a .pd file? How do you use it in combination with Renoise and the Akai MidiMix? I own a copy of Renoise and the Midimix, but it's still not working correctly. Please add some installation instructions in the readme here. Thanks!

Apologies, I somehow missed the notification and just saw the issue. So in case this is still relevant: You need to load the file in Then the connection instructions are inside the file itself: Connect your Akai Midimix Out to pd Midi In 1 (This will work only with the default Midimix mapping on channel 1) and Midimix In to pd Midi Out. Connect pd Midi Out to your application. It is possible to connect another controller if set to channel 2 The outputs will then be merged.

Sorry that was supposed to be a link to the Pure Data Wikipedia page, it didn't work apparently ;-) You need puredata in the middle to interact with the midimix buttons: https://puredata.info/ It's available for most platforms. This is far from ideal, but it worked for me at the time.

Today, I think you may want to try a native Renoise tool like: https://forum.renoise.com/t/new-tool-3-4-3-midi-universal-controller-wave-builder-v3-2-build-374-january-2023/64400

I am not using Renoise anymore, so I can't tell you if this really works but that's worth a shot.
