Maybe the file that you tried to convert has a different structure than the one
used internally by Second Life.
My tool can be used to convert just the row format used by Second Life (. Anim).

I have had a problem with this too. It finds the file that it creates but the
anim to bvh conversion menu stays gray and does nothing when you click on it.
And yes the file is from SL and its in cache.

The animations in your list are the default Second Life animations.
They are part of the initial allocation of Second Life(The standard animations
used by the avatar when AO is not loaded).
They are not stored on the server nor in the local cache.
For this reason, my utility does not find them.
