Topping E30 II #183

Closed JosefAschauer closed 5 days ago

JosefAschauer commented 2 weeks ago

Hi, today I tested with a topping E30 II USB DAC and here it doesn't seem to work. I'm getting restart loops with the following error: " /app/ifi-tidal-release/bin/tidal_connect_application: error while loading shared libraries: libsystemd.so.0: ELF load command alignment not page-aligned"

The config loaded is this, so the DAC is found (Card name is really "II" as shown:

Hello, are you using a Raspberry Pi5? Another user had the same issue as yours here and he solved it (follow this link). Let me know if this helps!

JosefAschauer commented 2 weeks ago

Jep, thats a pi5, pi4 works just fine. Will try it.

Many thanks! Josef

Hi Giovanni,

The described fix worked indeed. It’s rather a workaround though, the issue got reported back in Oct 23 here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/bookworm-feedback/issues/120 Hope they will fix it, did an apt-get upgrade before modifying the config.txt- but the bug seems to be still there.

You might want to update your readme.md regarding this.

On a Pi5: sudo vi /boot/firmware/config.txt

Add the following line in # General settings:

kernel=kernel8.img

Then reboot.

Many thanks once again! Josef

Yes, in fact I was thinking of doing that. Thank you for preparing the content!

Looks quite good all things considered (it's really old and unmaintained software...). Does it play?

Cannot switch on my receiver before 5pm but the service seems to play with this warning:
