I'm stuck on the initial loading screen #581

Describe the bug I'm stuck on the loading screen with the spinning green spirograph that appears when you first open the application. There's no text beneath it, the spirograph just spins endlessly. Both the program itself and the asset pack were extracted with 7zip. I've tried both the release version, v2.0.7, and the pre-release version, 2.5.0, and encounter the same problem with both. I've tried running the program in compatibility mode for both Windows 7 and Windows 8, I've completely turned off Windows Defender, and don't have any other antivirus software installed, and I've even turned off Data Execution Prevention in the Windows Security app, but the problem persists. I've also gone into the task manager and turned off all startup apps, just to make sure no other program was interfering with The Unofficial Homestuck Collection. No matter what I do, I can't get past this loading screen and into the application.

Same issue. I'm running the collection on 3 other Windows machines and a Steam Deck with no problems. I got the Sharp error with 2.0.7 and I'm getting this loading screen with 2.5.0.

Workaround: I copied over the unofficial-homestuck-collection folder from the App Data on another PC and it's working fine now.
