Struggling to setup Ditecross for syncing between a groupchat & Discord. #3

Hey there,

Seems that Ditecross doesn't particularly like syncing up with group chats. I try to initiate the handshake, however when I do the name of my Discord followed by the channel, it won't give out the next step. I'm using @My_Discord#telegram as a response to the handshake but nothing else happens.

Help would be appreciated.

I've also disabled privacy mode on the bot via BotFather, didn't seem to make a difference.

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, Ditecross doesn't work without privacy mode disabled. I'm not sure why exactly it ignores you. I will make an attempt to investigate and fix this bug as soon as I have time.

EDIT: make sure that telegram is your channel name

Thank you

I am also having this issue. The bot works in a private message, but when taken to a group or supergroup it fails to handshake.

EDIT: I made the bot an administrator in my group and it worked. The reason is that when the bot is simply a regular user it has no access to messages. You need to grant it this access by making it an admin. Hope this helps someone!
