Becomes very slow to unresponsive in chrome #1282

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Draw two shapes with a connector.
2. Draw a path. 
3.Edit the path.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Chrome says a script has become unresponsive

In what browser did you experience this problem? (ALL, Firefox, Opera, etc)

Crome
In what version of SVG-edit does the problem occur? (Latest trunk, 2.7.1,
etc)
2.7.1,

Please provide any additional information below.

I just tried to reproduce the problem and wasn't able to. Running Chrome 
44.0.2403 I opened your attached download.svg file and edited it just fine.

Try disabling your chrome extensions and see if that helps the issue. And of 
course, make sure you're running the latest version of chrome.
