Make DebtHelper use updateChildValues

I cannot use both transactionBlock and updateChildValues, it appears. Given the choice (which I am) I would prefer transactionBlock because it will prevent race conditions. Test two devices checking out at the same time from the same group logged in as different users, as this may unsync the amounts? But not consistently.
