No laser pointer or crosshair & Portal Gun lights not aligned with gun model #135

I played the game in VR a couple months ago and it was working perfectly. I didn't have any time to play for a while and recently wanted to continue my game. Since last time I played I have reinstalled my Windows, so I was starting with a fresh install of the game. When I started playing, I noticed there is no laser pointer like it used to have. Also the bloom effect on the Portal Gun doesn't line up with the spot on the gun where the light is meant to be.

Things I've tried:

Changing AimMode in the VR config 1/2 Setting Crosshair 1 in the games console Reinstalling the game & VR Mod

I'm not sure if it's related, but the game is also crashing at the loading screen. I'm not sure if it happens on every loading screen, so far I haven't been able to get past the first loading screen of "The Escape" (After the spiralling Pneumatic Diversity Vent room) This also wasn't an issue when I played the game a couple months ago.

These are also issues with the parent version. Seems the issue is with something Valve updated some time ago no longer compatible with the current build of these mods. See: https://github.com/Gistix/portal2vr/issues/125 and https://github.com/Gistix/portal2vr/issues/126
