Sixense MotionPack Features ? #33

Open Fancy2209 opened 1 year ago

The Portal 2 Sixense Motion pack was a dlc that added support for the Razer Hydra to Portal 2's main campaigns (SP and COOP).

What I propose is (if possible), to add these features into the mod so the maps of both Sixense Campaigns could be playable, as well as adding the ones available on the main campaign as a option.

very good idea, this should be in p2vr

my first comment in the discord that promoted this was for this. this would be the only way i could actually play it and i do think the motion controls themselves are basically primed to be converted to VR. so it would be very nice.

Those motion controls had a VR Version made for them at one point even! https://youtu.be/JWe2GlVQTOg

This would be the best way todo it. Since it had some features that take care of more vr platform issues. Like One to One and so on. This would go well.

You'd need to get the custom DLL to load with the old build of the game needed to run the motionpack (should be possible), then you could try combining it with code from this project to get the Hydra input to work.

What I ask in this issue it for the Sixense features to be added into the mod, not to use the DLC alongside it

Those are basically the same thing, they'd have to do what I said regardless of if the actual DLC maps are included
