Portal Gun Is Incomplete #47

The bottom of the portal gun is missing, like the model is only meant for first person flatscreen viewing. Is there a way to either: A. Enable a full model B. Rip a model from the 3rd person Chell model and enable it.

This is simply how viewmodels in source are designed. To have a full portal gun you would need to replace the viewmodel. I plan on making a model for this mod, if i can get into contact with the creator.

SpiritedSpy shared a file that replace the incomplete model of the portal gun with a fixed one. You can find it on the 'Flatscreen to VR' Discord channel in the thread within the Portal 2 dedicated section.

No need to replace anything; these are the instructions present on the aforementioned Discord thread:

_Just put the vpk file into a new folder called portal2dlc4 inside of your main Portal 2 folder. when the game next starts it will show a loading screen since it will try rebuilding the audio cache, even if this mod doesnt touch any audio, once the loading bar turns orange you will have restart the game manually, from there it should just work.
