Ambience sometimes doesn't change

I was in map sp_a2_core and when I left the entrance room, the ambience in the next area didn't change.

And when I eventually made it too map sp_a3_00 the ambience was still the exact same from the map before.

So, I had to restart Portal 2 for the ambience to go back to normal.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Just wanted to say, I had this issue as well, but I was running the launch version at the time, so I wouldn't know if it got fixed in an update.
