Loving this mod so far. So I decided to update the virtual surround mod I made for HL2VR
It's pretty straight forward: just gotta drop some files next to portal2.exe and make sure the game's set to output 5.1 Surround (more detailed instructions included)

This mod is just a repack of the latest builds of DSOAL (DirectSound to OpenAL wrapper) and OpenAL Soft (applies HRTF to virtualize the game's surround channels so that sounds that are behind you actually sound like they're behind you and differently from sounds in front, though surround sound is 2D/flat so there will be no difference between above and below)

Sadly the Source engine doesn't support 3D audio (yet?), and 7.1 Surround is broken, so the next best thing is just virtualized 5.1 surround sound.
