Project Description

About the Project:

IT'S A PROJECT THAT HELPS TO UNDERSTAND EARTHQUAKE PATTERNS & VULNERABLE AREAS.

A User-Interactive Data Analytics and Visualization application developed using P5.js, Mapbox, HTML, CSS & Bootstrap5 . I have used Git, GitBash, & Github to create a repo, commit changes & for hosting I used Github Pages. I have also used Canva to create graphics for my project website and for documentation.

Reason Behind this Project:

Earthquake is one of the major disasters threatening the world and the assessment of the risk involved is to be evaluated to protect the life of people and their possessions. The seismic data available can be analyzed visualized and interpreted to protect life and to reduce the damages to the infrastructure from future earthquakes using sophisticated computer tools.

Technologies & Sources

Future Ideas:

• Using Machine Learning Algorithms to analyze the past data and predict earthquakes in the future. • A timeline feature to show the distribution of earthquakes over the period of time. • Analysis of the number of earthquakes that actually affect people directly to the total number of earthquakes.

PS: I thought to use a custom domain name, but github.io looks kinda cool ; ) and Thanks for such a wonderful, all-in-one workshop.
