Markdown Links? #73

Open NullSense opened 4 years ago

NullSense commented 4 years ago

Preface: I use Obsidian

Is it possible to make the new links in the traditional []() format instead of [[]]? (as an unrelated question, is it possible to add Zettelkasten type note title prefixes? (YYYYMMDD)

GitMurf commented 4 years ago

I don't quite follow. Can you please provide examples of both?

@NullSense when you have a chance, can you please provide examples of both requests as I'm not completely sure on the request. Thanks!

@GitMurf standard markdown links are formatted like: description, this is already being done when linking to the article that's being snipped from, but say when you create a new link by double click, it's format is [[]]. Would it be possible to configure it to standard format?

Regarding zettel prefixes, for new notes zettel formats are: "YYYYMMDDHH note title" (or a variation of it). However now I'm not sure if this is a good idea and would be better handled by the editor (i.e. obsidian).

@NullSense so are you saying if you have "A sentence I am highlighting..." and you want to double click to create a page for "sentence" you'd want it to be when pasting into Obsidian "A sentence I am highlighting..."? The point of the double click is to put it into the format that would create a new page/backlink in Obsidian / Roam. I am not quite following how your request would work. Can you record a screen capture or something or show in Obsidian an example of what you would copy/highlight, what you'd double click, and then what you want it to look like in Obsidian?
