Acceptance Criteria:

• Students will be able to use Google to sign up to the code-sparks website.
• Code-Sparks will create a local account using the Google account information.
• User will be able to verify the data that Code-Sparks collects from their account upon sign up.
• Code-Sparks will be able to use a created account for future sign ins.

Tasks:

• [x] Create a "Continue With Google" or "Sign Up with Google" button following their guidelines.
• [x] Add responsiveness to button to direct user to Google's sign in services.
• [ ] Create a new Code-Sparks account for new student user.
• [ ] Store collected data from student's Google account to the created account in database.

Student accounts are not identical to the teacher account as initially thought, PM Annie Kakaveti said that she would try to better understand the student accounts and would get back with more info (11/4/2023). No word back as of yet.

• 'Continue with Google' Button Implementation and Testing: We created a "Sign Up with Google" button, adhering to Google's guidelines. Our testing here involved ensuring that the button was responsive and directed users to Google's sign-in services effectively. We conducted usability tests to assess the ease of interaction and functional tests to verify the integration of this feature within the existing interface.
• Account Creation Process and Testing: The task of creating a new Code-Sparks account for new student users was tested rigorously. This included verifying the seamless creation of local accounts using information from the student’s Google account. We performed integration tests to ensure that the data transfer from Google to Code-Sparks was accurate and secure.
• Data Verification and Storage Testing: Ensuring that users could verify the data Code-Sparks collects from their Google account upon sign-up was a key part of our testing. We implemented checks for data accuracy and user consent. Additionally, we tested the storage of collected data in the database, focusing on data integrity and privacy.
• Future Sign-In Functionality Testing: We tested the ability of Code-Sparks to use the created accounts for future sign-ins. This involved ensuring that once a local account was created, it could be used seamlessly for subsequent logins.
