compatibility with Windows 8 issue #327

The latest version of the software doesn't support windows 8 even in windows 7 
compatibility mode
When I launch it it crashed quickly and shows error reporting diagram

Same problem here with the latest version.
Opening an old version of the software (2.0.2.94 Beta 2), the editor is 
launched but then it returns the error "Could not load a file or assembly 
'Microsoft.DirectX.DirectInput'".

After I reinstalled windows 8 It worked fine .
maybe the cause was that DX11 was missing accidently .

It was really a DX11 problem.
I executed the DirectX Web Setup and it downloaded some old missing components 
from 2006.
Now x360ce works fine.

Those Missing components aren't really missing

Windows has never included the DX Component binaries for D3DX and the same goes 
for the input binaries

Its not a DirectX 11 problem. Its an optional component for DirectX 9 that was 
not included. Downloading and running the Direct X Web installer will get this 
for Windows 8 and solve the crash issue with x360ce. I confirmed this with my 
own experience.

Agree with Csi. Simply download directX web installer. Problem solved!
