This blog explains pretty much what's going on with 3box, eventually the social media verification should be replaced by self.ID but until then we need to play around with good old 3box.
I already did a proof of concept in this branch to obtain the web2 verified accounts and basic user's profile, we still need to figure out a user flow but I believe is pretty straight forward, we just need to check this and set a boolean on the impact graph. so far 3box allows to check twitter, github and email, self.ID promises to use more web2 social networks
