Make a Giveth Gather Town #423

Satya from Gather Town has offered to let us use gather town to make a space for giveth things! would be so cool. I would love to set this up.

He said to ping him when we're ready to get set up. I think we should get on this... but only when we have a reason to use it.

I watched a gathertown tutorial and explored the website a bit. Messaged in the group dm, waiting to hear back from sathya.

Need to have him create a giveth gathertown for us b/c the free version only allows for up to 25 participants.

Invited laureb mitch ashley and griff to collaborate on it.

The non profit sponsorship application has been submit and is in process. Unfortunately for more than 25 event participants gathertown has a per user fee. So this event has not been completed or published as i am waiting for the non profit sponsorship response.

Thoughts @laurenluz ? Would you like to play around with the design of the space? I chose the auditorium template for meet the makers because we can have presenters on the stage and there is a podium for Q&A.

@WhyldWanderer are you available to support the tech component of this and help with doing a dress rehearsal test run as you had planned to do with airmeet? Im feeling we really need to test this out.

Gathertown auditorium template created. Will use this for other events in the future.

Sathya generated a temporary one time use sponsorshho for us.

Kelly emailed us and approved a 1 year sppnsorship of space up to 150 participants for us to use. We need to include their sponsorship branding on all our promo materials when we use the space. Shared with info@giveth.io from hello@gather.town

Ashley is doing tech testing for this.

We decided to create a cafe template for a 30-60 minute networking hangout after the main discord meet the makers event for simplicity.
