@kazabooboo I completed the first round of edits. Please assign me back to this when you have completed any changes based on Amitai's review. Cheers.

@RachelBaram thanks. After you went over it, do you feel there are areas or topics that I should add or include more info?

RachelBaram commented 8 years ago

@kazabooboo There is a lot of valuable information here. My comments on the content:

  1. The section about 'Roles in Buying Decision' and 'engaging each role' sounds nice but I think success scenarios would make this more useful. For example: "A past client of ours recommended that we contact x company. I questioned him to figure out who is who in the company and if he had any influence there. Based on xxx, I decided that I needed to prepare an x type sales deck for our past client to have and use in his conversations with the company's CTO..." At the moment it is very text-book and abstract.
  2. I would add a couple of intro sentences after each ## level header (The right person, etc..) explaining why this is important.
  3. I would add a summary section. There is a lot of information here and a few high-level bullet points help bring it all together.
  4. I would edit my introduction to talk about why and when should cold outreach be done. How does this fit into our current sales strategy? Events, verticals, etc?
  5. I am not sure if anything is missing but I would use the important question: "What I wished me in February 2016 would have known about cold outreach?" What mistakes did you make that could have been avoided if there was a Gitbook chapter about Cold Outreach. ;)
  6. Some further items that can be addressed: a. How to find leads - based on a specific purpose, how do you find the companies that you want to approach. You already talk about how to find the people in the company. b. Once the email is sent, everything after - follow-up, deal with responses, etc.

@IshaDakota Do you see value in this chapter? Think about a new salesperson in Gizra. I am not sure what to do with this chapter. I don't think it is ready for publishing. Thoughts?
