Press "Search" and change "Where to download application data" from Internal
storage to SD card.
Find dosbox CFG file at
"/sdcard/app-data/org.hystudio.android.dosbox/.dosbox/dosbox-0.7.4.conf

Change your cpu settings from auto to dynamic may improve the performance a
little bit, and you may also set
the cycle to a number between 2000-2500 (that's the best range for my Inspire
4g which has a 1G arm CPU)

Poor performance is caused by high CPU load of adosbox.

The problem with Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) is that the phone itself lacks the
"Search" button so I cannot access directly the configuration dialog and I do
not know if there is a workaround to get it. I also tried to find the conf file
manually but without success. I searched whole phone for that file. Is there
any default location of the conf file or can I create it going through console?

PS. How can I map the CTRL key?

Don't know about the control key... I would like to know myself.

But if you need to search for a file, you might try Astro on Android Market.
However, my file with in a hidden directory called .android on the root of the
sd card.

If you are using a rooted phone, the configure file should locate at
/data/data/org.hystudio.android.dosbox/files/.dosbox/dosbox-0.7.4.conf
This folder cannot be accessed on rooted phones.

If not, you may have to uninstall the app and reinstall it again, the
configuration dialog will pop up the first time you ran the app. Mapping the
invocation of configuration dialog to "Search" button(stupid, I know) is a
temporary solution. We will change this in the future release.

As for the Ctrl key, you can map it to one of those on-screen keys inside the
configuration dialog.

Configuration Dialog->On-screen keyboard->Remap on-screen controls

You may add another on-screen key as well, you can have 6 on-screen keys in
total.

Thx for all replies, especially greatht.
I used 'Astro' myself but it couldn't find the conf file, 'Root explorer' done
the trick ;).
For me the only way to get the configuration dialog is by reinstalling the app.
By going through this dialog I found the RCTRL and LCTRL mappings.
Playin with cpu settings didn't change anything, my setts are as follows:
core=dynamic
cputype=auto
cycles=2300
I found that changing sound (sampling rate?) from 10kHz to 5kHz in game's
config raised performance a bit.
What's more, I tested Flashback and Dune 2 with sound and music on and those
run good - no noticeable cracks.

PS. My aDosBox sound settings are same as defaults.
