Drops to desktop just after start

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turning adobox on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Black screen with mouse cursor in upper left corner flashes 3 times, after 
that dosbox starting screen (dos screen with welcome text in blue border) is 
shown for about half a second. After that app closes itself

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
HTC Dream with 2.6.29.6-cyanogenmod

Just updated firmware on Sprint Samsung Moment to 2.2 in order to use updated 
SDK. 
Finally able to easily install app. But when I open it up, it goes to a black 
screen 
for half a second then kicks back to desktop.

This will happen with me as well, on my Moto Droid.  Restarting DOSBox will 
usually resolve the issue, though sometimes it takes 2 or 3 restarts.  Either 
that or force close it using a task killer; the problem (at least for me) 
appears to be that the app has not yet closed from the last time I used it 
(usually from me hitting the home button for lack of an ESC key).

SDL_video.c

Having this issue as well on the Nook Color and android 2.1.  Originally, when 
it ran, the configuration menu came up.  I hit ok, and it has been dropping to 
desktop ever since.

Hi,
if it can help, i had same issue when check separate thread on video option
dos box launches with splashscreen then drop to desktop

device is samsung galaxy tab 1000
clearscreen.

are you using android 2.1 or older? 

Version .2 beta only works on 2.2+ phones
