The new UI design became a little feature-creep zone. The entire goal was to keep it simple.
The home page contains now a short description, a list of latest updates and only then asking what to do. Instead of that it should just have our title, under 80-character slogan and 2 giants actions buttons that ask the user either to open or create a new file.
Updates & roadmaps should be put on a wiki page at the resposity and can be linked from at the about page. By keeping the editor as static as possible related to content like this, allows us to only make changes because of editor bugfixes and road map evolutions, rather than for news updates.
