We've been trying to replicate the build by printing the .stl files and sourcing all the components to build.
It appears that the hardest thing to source is the lens. It seems that credit card sized Fresnel lenses are quite cheap, would be easier to cut down to size and source.
Not sure about the image quality for medical use. @tareko & @Frankie-E4Rdesigns have you tried any of these in terms of comparing lens quality to the current acrylic ones or other otoscopes on the market?
We would be happy to help with creating a 3d printed insert for the current design so it is still backwards compatible with previous designs!
