I have the same problem
A little hack I found today: With PowerToys FancyZones you can create zones that fill each one of your monitors to have a sort of "fake maximize" effect, then instead of maximizing windows normally, you invoke FancyZones snap (I have it set with drag + right click) and voila, your window will be "maximized" while RoundedTB will still think its in normal mode. It's a bit hacky and the downside is that you gonna have to forget about using the default maximize button.
I want to report an issue with the latest version of RoundedTB Canary that has to do with strange/unpredictable behavior of the Auto-Hide setting.
Steps to reproduce:
If you maximize a window after that, the taskbar will be filled and when you minimize/restore that window it won't auto-hide anymore.
I'm also using a second monitor, I don't know if that might contribute somehow to this bug
