Since Halogen is a discontinued Forge Port of the Sodium render engine, changing to Rubidium would ensure latest features and also allow for compatibility with Iris shaders via Oculus.
How does this improve the experience?
Should be almost the same as Halogen since its based on the same engine.
Oculus allows for Iris shaders to be used, which improves graphics quality by a lot, but is based on Rubidium. For people playing without Shaders, Oculus should have no performance impact, if shaders are disabled by default.
I have played the pack for a while with both Rubidium + Oculus and the Complementary v4 shader and have had no graphical bugs/issues so far but can't guarantee it working flawlessly.
