Sig block images #25

Sig block images are currently enabled.

A lot of people still have img code in sig block so would flood the site with them annoying animated jobbies which slow everything down.

they shouldn't be showing at all - we have images turned off. Can you give me an example of one that is?

Deleted img code in sigblock. Disappeared.

Reinserted img code into sig block. Pic doesn't display

So, just to confirm, I need to remove all img tags from signatures (quick when done as a find/replace in the database) or we will get images in signatures? So XF doesn't restrict the display of images, but only their upload? Thanks for looking in to this

It would be the safest option to remove all the img bb code. I can confirm that re-entering will not display.

Can you remove all the img code automatically? If not then I don't think it would be too much of a big deal to leave out the import of signatures and people just put them back in themselves.

The good thing about xf is that it doesn't display the img code even as text whereas old arrse put it up as a link.

yes, I can do a find/replace directyl in the database to remove the tags in one hit. I think! I'll add it to my post import / pre live things-to-do, and close this
