Enable custom notifications on the desired contact (click on the icon in the correspondence window), there in the settings you can change the behavior for do not disturb mode.
Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything related to the behavior for do not disturb mode.
This is what I did and what I can find.
On the list of conversations in the app, I picked one from one of my favorite contacts (there is no indication of the contact being a favorite, unlike in the Dialer app). At the top of the conversation screen, there is the icon for the contact, the contact name and phone number. Clicking (tapping) on the icon takes me to contact details: Icon Name Call - Contact Details - Share Phone number Notifications Use custom notifications (turned on) Customize notifications >
Going into Customize notifications I have the following options: Allow notifications (turned on) Alert (on) / Silent (off) Show as popup (on) Sound (Signal) Vibrate (off) Lock screen (Hide content - other option Don't show notifications) App icon badges (on)
There is nothing else in Customize notifications.
In the general Settings app of the phone, in the Notifications section there is a section for Do not disturb. In the Do not disturb part there is a part for Calls and messages showing Some allowed. Tapping that shows that calls from favorites and messages from favorites are allowed.
I do not know where else to look.
Your version of android probably doesn't have this. I have another line on Android 14: Override Do Not Disturb.
I will try to fix this problem later.
Version: 5.0.1 Android 14 One UI 6
Do Not Disturb is set to allow call and new message notifications from favorites. No new message notifications get through from favorites. It is not a problem with other messages apps like QKSMS, QUIK, GOOG, Samsung messages. Let me know what further details you might need to fix this annoyance.
Thank you for woring on this absolutely fantastic SMS app.
