All roms stop working after one fails to load #14

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a non-existent file from the "Open Recent" menu or from the command
line.
2. Close the "Couldn't load..." error message.
3. Try to open another, existing file.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After the failure to load one rom, all roms fail to start. They seem to load.
"Show ROM
Info" works as intended. It's just that the games won't start until snes9x-gtk
is restarted.
This glitch happens at any one time when you try loading an non-existent file.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Snes9x-gtk 1.51.76 on Gentoo Linux, but I'm positive the bug's been there since
at least
a few revisions back.

I'm not sure whether this is my fault or the core's behavior. I do know that
loading
something that is invalid, but passes Snes9x's sanity checks, messes up the core
pretty badly.

From the "Couldn't load..." error message, though, it does look like this is in
the port.
