This entails a thorough analysis of existing IPv4 infrastructure and the development of a meticulous migration plan that incorporates IPv6 protocol adoption. Security considerations must be integrated into every phase of the transition (Intrusion detection and prevention system, encryption mechanisms etc.) The strategy should include a detailed inventory of all networked devices and applications to identify potential vulnerabilities during the migration.
