I want to experiment with one of those scrolling highlight/shadows. But it feels like other things have priority right now.

We shall discuss design options with @argyleink before experiment

a scroll hint can be a great way to signal an area is overflowing yep, Lea's got a great solution with local background images https://lea.verou.me/2012/04/background-attachment-local/

Hi!

I created a figma prototype with an idea I had in mind, please take a look if you are interested. It's not about playing with shadows like @argyleink suggested, but rather playing with borders.

I'm kinda new to figma, so I coudn't really apply a scroll interaction (which would animate the borders right), so you have to click on the compression settings to see the magic happen.
