Text refusing to save any work #498

I'm using Text as the coding editor for my online course. For some reason, it is flat out refusing to save any work I am doing.

I've tried exiting the programme, and it asks me if I want to save the document, but wont do so when I click Yes.

I've tried using Save As, and it still won't work.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Hey BrassHand! Thanks for filing.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you tell me what folder you're trying to save the documents into? Is your local storage full? What device and version of chrome os are you using? What version of the text app are you using? Another thing you could try is uninstalling and reinstalling the text app.

Hello

I am trying to save it to an unzipped folder on my Acer chrome book R13. It has been downloaded from a website I am doing a course from. It has never had this issue before with unzipping.

The version of text I am using is 0.5.168

The version of chrome I am using is 80.0.3987.158 (official build).

I am about to start a new module on this course, I will hopefully know if it is an ongoing issue if it continues.

Thanks for your help in the meantime

Ah, I suspect you are trying to save to the unzipped drive, which I don't believe is writable. Can you try copying the unzipped files over to your downloads folder and editing them from there?

I’ll try if I can. It’s never done this before, but I may not have been doing the right things this time round. It’s been a while since I studied, so I could be doing something wrong.
