opening any txt file opens either the last one opened or any random file previously opened #560

Is there a fix for this issue. At present, clicking on the app icon opens random files previously opened, though more often than not the last one opened. Thus there is no way to directly open a new text file. And when trying to open any new or previously opened file, again a random previously opened file opens.

Same issue, still happening. Is there a setting somewhere to open a blank new file and not the last .txt file that was previously opened??

Clearly this item is not of interest to others. I've since been using another similar text app called Caret. It's a bit different, but fulfills the same purpose.
