In the current setup, once the "prombench" cluster gets created, all the future benchmark runs create the nodes for benchmarking based on the PR number and deploy Prometheus instances to be benchmarked. However, there isn't an option to upgrade the meta monitoring Prometheus's version itself.
Perhaps, this may not be required as the results are exported from meta monitoring Prometheus to GCM and the results are viewed in the Cloud Monitoring dashboard, but having an option to update the meta monitoring Prometheus would be nice!
A straight forward solution to this would be to delete the "prombench" cluster and then run a benchmark. The benchmark will take care of recreating the cluster with the latest Prometheus image version.
