Hey @daniel-cit I had some thoughts after using the current version of dry run. Some things to consider as you experiment:
the current mode key in configuration is a bit odd because the only valid value is dry_run. So the question is, how do I disable dry run? Have mode but an empty string? Or set to "on"? We should make that better. Maybe just have a Boolean flag? "dry_run": true? Think a mode makes sense if we have several modes which we don't currently
as discussed offline, the dry run flag today is more of a disable flag since we bail so early
