What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open latest version of google gadgets while using compiz under gnome
2. open panel properties for a standard panel and change the orientation to
the left or right (whichever side ggl-gtk is using)
3. observe the video buffer for every active window including the desktop
get overwritten with glitchy corruption
You need to link this app into gnome's signals and events to detect this,
and have a few more checks and failsafes when writing graphics, use gtk and
cairo for example.
(further note, I was using murrine gtk engine, have a 9400GT video card
using nvidia's drivers - latest one supported by ubuntu jaunty, and had no
other open-GL or wine applications that may have conflicted or contributed
to these results.
