Editra crashes with two windows open. #424

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
It's happened three times now, twice with the prev version, and now again
with the latest version, but is not predictable.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opened two files (one .py one .js)
2. Moved the tab into a separate window, and arranged them side by side,
narrowed the windows a bit, in prep for doing some porting work
3. Left them for a few minutes - and Editra quit/exited/crashed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected persistence, got crashiness.

IMPORTANT!!! Please answer these questions for any and ALL bug reports

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using 0.5.15 on Mac OS X 10.4.11

What method of install was your version installed with (Binary/Source)?
Binary install, dragged to App dir

If from source: What version of python and wxPython are you using?
NA

Please provide any additional information below.
It's not consistently happening, of course, just to make it more elusive.

Ross.

Hi,

Do you have any plugins such as the projects or codebrowser windows open at the
same
time while this happens?

Thanks,

Cody

No - just using the plain vanilla Editra. I've only customized fonts and
colours, but that was many versions back
too, so it's been pretty much untouched in terms of configuration for a years
worth of version updates

This may be fixed in the latest svn. I found an issue in the event handling
that could occur when switching focus between windows thats been corrected.

I am going to close this as fixed for now. Please feel free to reopen if it is
still not fixed in svn or the next release (>0.5.72).
