New Lexer for ASP Classic #432

Excelent work so far. Congrats.

Is there a chance that you guys implement an ASP Classic Lexer for future
versions?
A mix between the VBScript and HTML lexers (respecting the ASP escape,
wich is yhe <% and %>) would do it...
On the notepad++, for instance, one can set the background color for ASP
code and another color for the HTML part, wich helps a lot on reading the
source code.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you could attach a small (hello world like) sample file of what ASP Classic
code
looks like it would help with implementing this feature.

Ok, here it is. An ASP Classic file with HTML and JavaScript on it (3 lexers
needed
on the same code file at the same time.

Also, attached an image took from a tool that recognizes the 3 languages (and
render
the fonts/backgrounds in different colors too). Hope this helps you with some
ideas.

Oh, by the way, the ASP Classic language is also referred to as "ASP 3.0"
(don't know
if you might need this info).

Hi,

Added some basic support for highlighting asp script embedded in html.
Currently it
requires associating .asp with the HTML file type.

Time providing I might add separate settings for ASP on its own. Also need to
add
some extensions to the styling system to allow for having different background
colors
for different embedded code regions (as shown in your screenshot) this is a
planned
feature but still a todo.
