Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago
For now if you have the tracklog it's always possible the geocode geocoded
pictures
and create your Google Maps export on the fly.
Anyway I add your request to my todo-list.

I would like to second this feature request. I would like to be able to create
a
kml/kmz of a new collection of previously geo-coded files (these images would
be from
from many different days and many different gpx files) by simply making a new
folder
contining my favourite images.
I would also like to create a google map compliant kml which links to the same
files
in a folder on my webserver. I know GPicSync can do this from GPX and photos
but,
like the original poster, I would like to make a new collection of images,
which has
some photos previously tagged by GPicSync and some from my Loox T830 PDA which
tags
photos as it takes them (no track).
If I could just tell GPicSync to open a folder of GeoTagged images and create a
GMaps
kml with the http://myserver/pathtoimages/ as the base URL that would be great.

My case for seconding this request is from following example. I was on the trip
with
museum train, there was a lot of tunnels, narrow canyons, so my GPS was in and
out
all the time. I would like to connect all photos to the same track. Now I have
to
manually geocode photos with Google and have a lot of work to add photos to
tracks
manually. My case is: SW could use manually entered GPS data with original time
of
photo to insert it in right place of track.

I would like to fourth this request. I downloaded gpicsync hoping it would have
this feature as well. Unfortunately
(and confusingly) there is absolutely no mac application that performs this
task, as of yet.

http://geotag.sourceforge.net/ plays better with photos with an existing exif
geo
data, though I found it a little harder to setup and use for my normal case of
"geocode this pile of photos with this gpx".

another feature request related to this is that there should be a option which
would keep any photos already having gps data untouched.
I use my camera and my phone to take pictures my phone automatically tags them
quite well, so I would like keep that data untouched in some case.
thanks for your wonderful effort.
