Readme invites people to join you on slack but just a channel link without instructions on getting an invite

but no instructions on how to get an invite (or, if possible join with an existing slack account)

Maybe the instructions should state - to get an invite at https://slack.kubernetes.io or https://communityinviter.com/apps/kubernetes/community
