A user is currently able to RSVP to an event in the past.

I checked the behavior of Facebook event which also allows the same... i think we should also not restrict user from taking any of these actions... All we can do is have a popup warning user that he is making changes to an expired event...

That is one of the complaints I have with the FB app. Allowing it is counter productive in my mind. The only thing that they should be able to do to an event from the past is add Media
