Autocomplete integration does not work in landscape oriëntation on stock e-mail client Gingerbread

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open stock (2.3.7) e-mail app in landscape orientation.
2. Start typing a contact name in the 'To' field, present in GAL; nothing 
happens
3. Rotate screen to portrait mode and continue typing; name completes 
automatically

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Autocomplete integration in portrait AND landscape orientation

What version of the product are you using?
1.3.0
What version of Android are you running?
2.3.7 Cyanogenmod 7.2 (stock) on an LG Optimus 2x

What version of Exchange are you connecting to?
Exchange 2007

Please provide any additional information below.
Autocomplete in landscape works, when using the application instead of relying 
on the integration part of the stock mail client.Haven't tried other e-mail 
clients (with exchange integration) yet; suggestions are welcome
